Laboratory Analyst (1st Shift) - Eurofins Environment Testing Southeast - Atlanta, GA

Location: Atlanta, GA, USA Job Title: Analyst I – Environmental Testing Job Description The Analyst I prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to scientific and EPA methodology in compliance with Eurofins Quality Assurance programs and SOPs. Responsibilities Demonstrate and promote the company vision. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality. Apply GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility. Perform routine lab tasks, including preparation of samples using standard techniques. Perform chemical analysis using standard techniques. Calculate data and record and report any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor. Perform routine instrument maintenance. Comply with Eurofins EHS and QA standards. Perform general housekeeping in work area. Become trained and competent on complex instrumentation (gas chromatography, GC/MS, atomic absorption, ICP, etc.). Work under close supervision using routine and standard methods. Aliquot and weigh samples; wash glassware. Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner. Perform other duties as assigned. Ideal Candidate Skills Ability to use calculator/mathematical formulas and concepts. Complete work within time and quality constraints. Work independently following written or verbal instructions. Cooperate and coordinate both orally and in writing. Follow and learn protocols in organic preparation, metals preparation and analysis, gas chromatography, GC/MS, radio chemistry, wet chemistry, high resolution and low resolution preparation and analysis. Qualifications BS or BA in chemistry or related field; 3 years laboratory experience may substitute for degree. Laboratory experience is a plus. Previous production-oriented work helpful (awareness and ability to meet deadlines). Requirements Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship. Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking). Compensation Pay range: $18 - $20 per hour. Base salary may vary based on experience and skill set.
