Job Summary A Service Advisor provides estimated cost analysis of automotive repairs and routine maintenance. Through effective communication with customers, theydetermines the services necessary, predicts the time needed for completion and stays in constant communication with the customer during the repair process. The Service Advisordetermines services needed by accessing information obtained by technicians and referencing auto manufacture’s service intervals. Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions. Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles. Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system. Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns; arranging towing and temporary transportation. Maintains automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications. Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Requirements Must have prior Service Advisor experience Demonstrates an extreme attention to detail. Reads, analyzes and interprets general business reports. Ability to write, present and respond to customers and staff members in a professional manner. Ability to compute basic math equation. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must have a valid driving license and clean driving record. Experience with DealerTrack and X-time preferred Ford Experience preferred About Us Parks Motor Group was founded in April of 1975 by Jack Parks with the inception of Northgate Lincoln Mercury in Tampa, Florida; changing it's name in January of 2011 to Parks Lincoln of Tampa.
