CRA Consultant

Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a CRA Consultant for a consultant opportunity with a financial services client. Responsibilities Conduct a comprehensive review of the bank's Public Welfare Investment (PWI) portfolio to validate CRA eligibility and regulatory classification. Assess investment classifications, carrying values, and supporting documentation within the general ledger. Develop standardized documentation, controls, and procedures for CRA investments and PWI reporting. Conduct regulatory readiness assessments and support audit and examination preparation. Establish frameworks for ongoing monitoring, including quarterly validation of PWI balances as a percentage of capital. Collaborate with CRA, Finance, Accounting, and Compliance teams to resolve classification and documentation issues. Qualifications 5+ years of experience supporting CRA, regulatory compliance, accounting, audit, risk management, or related functions within the banking industry. Experience working with large financial institutions and banking regulatory environments. Familiarity with complex financial reporting, investment accounting, and general ledger structures. Experience supporting Federal Reserve, OCC, FDIC, or other regulatory examinations preferred. CPA, CRCM, or other relevant banking or accounting certification preferred.
