Region Director, San Francisco Bay Area- Transcatheter Heart Valve

Overview The Regional Sales Director for the Transcatheter Heart Valve (THV) business will lead the sales organization in an assigned U.S. region. The role reports to an Area Vice President and focuses on achieving sales and profit objectives while managing a team of Territory Managers and Field Clinical Specialists. Key Responsibilities Coordinating and executing the sales strategy, including setting sales targets, managing budget and inventory. Leading talent management activities: hiring, retention, succession planning, and performance management. Collaborating with functional departments (Operations, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Affairs) to align regional plans. Providing oversight of site performance and outcomes and preparing forecasts by account, product, and therapy. Facilitating the flow of field information to Business Development, Marketing, and R&D. Developing value‑added strategies, tools, programs and services in partnership with Marketing and Professional Education. Maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of competitive strategies, product pipelines, healthcare economics, and regulatory changes to inform regional sales plans. Managing the T&E expense budget, inventory, and variable expenses such as sponsorships, grants and COEs. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field, with experience in regional operations management. Demonstrated track record in people management. Preferred Qualifications Leadership, coaching, budgeting, negotiating, selling and strategic planning skills. Experience in cardiovascular or interventional peripheral vascular areas. Change‑agent mindset with a bias for action and openness to new ideas. Strong business and financial acumen, and strategic analysis capabilities. Ability to build effective internal and external business relationships and influence at all levels. Knowledge of THV products/therapies and ability to develop a deep understanding of their applications. Benefits & Compensation Competitive base salary range for California: $160,000 to $192,000 (high‑experience). Compensation may vary based on qualifications, education and prior experience.
