Summer Assistant Manager – Outdoor Pools (May–September 2026) Loudoun County Parks, Recreation & Community Services is hiring Summer Assistant Managers to oversee the operation of outdoor pools and splash pads. The role requires leadership experience, strong customer‑service focus, and attention to detail. Locations Franklin Park, Purcellville, VA Lovettsville Community Center, Lovettsville, VA Responsibilities Oversee operations of concession stands and manage daily travel to the bank, as well as opening and closing of outdoor pool sites. Set up pools for proper operation according to program grids, calendars, and posted hours; reconfigure pools as needed for special programs. Monitor safe use of pools by customers and respond to injuries that may occur. Complete daily and weekly chemical readings and maintain levels to health‑code standards. Maintain emergency preparedness in the pool facility. Supervise and assist with scheduling of lifeguards and water attendant staff. Maintain and use the vehicle for occasional meetings and bank visits. Prioritize the health, safety, and service standards for all customers. Perform other critical job responsibilities as needed. Key Requirements Completion of 11th grade. One (1) year experience in overseeing aquatic or pool operations, including six (6) months in a leadership role. Red Cross lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certification. Loudoun County approved pool operator’s license. Valid driver’s license. Must undergo credit, DMV, and criminal background checks. Preferred Qualifications Related degree or certification in parks and recreation, environmental education, and/or natural resources. Work Schedule Flexible availability is required from May 2026 to September 2026. The work schedule will vary and include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. #J-18808-Ljbffr
