Industrial Automation Controls Engineer (Robotics & Vision)
Step into a role where you architect, program, and support advanced automation that keeps production moving. You’ll work across robotic cells and precision processes to bring reliable, high‑performance solutions to life.
What you’ll take on- Develop new and support existing robotic automation systems, including injection mold press tending, automated component feeding and assembly, laser marking, and vision inspection.
- Identify and implement new controls and automation technologies that strengthen our competitive edge.
- Drive projects from concept to launch—balancing budget/cost targets, delivery timelines, and early build events.
- Partner with customers, suppliers, and internal teams throughout all phases of new launches.
- Troubleshoot production equipment and coordinate effective, timely response actions.
- Own electrical controls, simulation, programming, debug, and start‑up assistance for automated equipment.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Lead the design and management of new automated equipment.
- Create project proposals, develop budgets and timelines, and maintain open issue logs.
- Generate and modify electrical control and pneumatic schematics.
- Program robots, PLCs, and HMIs.
- Verify that equipment performance meets specifications.
- Work closely with outside vendors to meet all project goals.
- Coordinate with internal skilled trades, operators, and external partners to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
