Location: San Diego, CA
Salary: $90,000 - $120,000
100% Onsite - Central San Diego

We are partnering with a construction organization in San Diego who is seeking an HR Generalist. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys balancing employee support, operational HR responsibilities, and regular interaction with both office and field employees.

This role supports approximately 300 employees and serves as a key resource for day-to-day HR activities, onboarding, employee engagement, and policy guidance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions and HR support

• Coordinate and facilitate onboarding activities for new hires

• Support employee relations, policy interpretation, and HR compliance initiatives

• Maintain employee records and HR documentation

• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure a positive employee experience

• Assist with leave administration, HR reporting, and administrative processes

• Travel to local job sites to support field employees and leadership teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred

• 3+ years of Human Resources experience

• Strong understanding of HR fundamentals and employment practices

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Construction, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, or related industry experience

• Experience supporting field-based employees

The ideal candidate is personable, adaptable, proactive, and enjoys working directly with employees. This individual should be comfortable balancing compliance responsibilities with a high-touch, employee-focused approach while supporting both office and field operations.
