Preferred Qualifications:

• Michigan teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement (Please submit your certification with your application)
• Experience working with students in special education settings, across a range of ages and abilities
• Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and a passion for differentiated instruction
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, staff, and families
• Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive, and encouraging educational atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure students' progress and successful inclusion
• Adapt lesson plans and instructional strategies to support different learning styles and abilities
• Use data-driven decision-making to track student performance and adjust instruction as needed
• Foster a nurturing, safe, and respectful classroom environment for all learners
• Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions to enhance best practices
