Life, learning, and education are our top priorities Qualifications Requirements of the Unit Manager: Registered Nurse with current state license. A minimum two years of nursing experience in long term care. Must have a current/active CPR certification. Knowledge of policy and procedure required by D.P.H. in long term care. Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with employees and vendors. Responsibilities Responsibilities of the Unit Manager: Complete assessments of residents at admission and discharge. Supervise nursing staff assigned. Document services rendered to residents for billing purposes. Make daily rounds to monitor resident care and status of residents. Implement established nursing policies and procedures, educating nursing support staff according to facility guidelines. Assign duties to LPNs and nursing assistants. Other special projects and duties, as assigned. Attend resident care conference meetings and provide follow-up as needed. Manage the unit to ensure that the resident's clinical and care needs are being met. #J-18808-Ljbffr
