Hiring Industrial Facilities Maintenance & Automation Technician

Pay: $24–$27/hr (based on experience)

We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance and Automation Technician to support the reliability, safety, and performance of a modern industrial facility. This role blends hands-on facilities maintenance with troubleshooting of building automation and PLC-controlled systems that support HVAC, boilers, chillers, and water systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facility systems including HVAC, boilers, chillers, plumbing, and electrical components
• Log into and troubleshoot building automation and PLC systems affecting building operations
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
• Troubleshoot automation controls and electrical systems using safe work practices
• Complete general building maintenance (minor repairs, carpentry, painting, etc.)
• Support day-to-day facility needs such as basic plumbing issues, snow removal, and light janitorial tasks
• Document maintenance activities and communicate system status to leadership
• Work collaboratively during training, then independently manage assigned responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Experience in facilities maintenance within an industrial or commercial environment
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, and chillers
• Ability to troubleshoot PLCs and building automation systems
• Mechanical aptitude with basic electrical and plumbing troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Comfortable handling both technical work and small, hands-on facility tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• EPA Universal Certification
• Experience with Allen-Bradley or Automation Direct PLCs
• Background in preventive maintenance programs
• Experience in clean room or controlled environments

Work Environment

This position is based in an industrial facility with clean room areas . Employees wear protective clean room suits as required. The role involves a mix of independent work and collaboration, with strong emphasis on safety, quality, and flexibility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Colorado Springs, CO.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
