Sales Development Associate

Sales Development Associate at Thermo Fisher Scientific is an early-career commercial role for scientifically trained professionals transitioning from laboratory work into bioproduction sales. The position involves qualifying leads, engaging prospective customers, and supporting field sales teams in identifying and developing opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Review, prioritize, and qualify inbound and marketing-generated leads
- Contact prospective customers to assess scientific needs, applications, and opportunities
- Route qualified opportunities to appropriate field sales representatives
- Support field sales teams with prospecting, account development, and customer follow-up
- Maintain accurate lead and opportunity information in CRM systems and track biotech VC funding within assigned territory
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or related scientific field
- 2+ years laboratory, biotechnology, biopharmaceutical, or related technical experience
- Strong communication, organization, and CRM management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with scientific and technical customers
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Long-term interest in developing a career in sales or business development
