SALES PERSON / PRODUCT SPECIALIST

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site SALES PERSON / PRODUCT SPECIALIST role based in Newark, CA. The individual in this role will engage with customers in the showroom and on the lot, greet and qualify prospective buyers, and guide them through the vehicle selection process. Day-to-day responsibilities include explaining vehicle features and benefits, conducting product demonstrations and test drives, and providing clear information on pricing, financing options, and available promotions. The role involves maintaining up-to-date product and inventory knowledge, following up with leads and past customers, and using dealership systems to document interactions and manage the sales process. Collaboration with sales managers, finance team members, and service staff is expected to ensure a seamless customer experience from initial contact through delivery. Qualifications Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, listen actively, and communicate clearly with a diverse range of customers. Sales and negotiation abilities, including experience handling objections, closing deals, and working toward individual and team performance goals. Product knowledge and presentation skills, with the capacity to learn vehicle features, technologies, and trim levels, and perform confident in-person demonstrations and test drives. Basic digital and administrative skills, such as using CRM or dealership software, email, and mobile tools to manage leads, schedule appointments, and complete required documentation. Professionalism and reliability, including punctuality, consistent follow-through, and adherence to dealership policies and ethical sales practices. Ability to work on-site in Hayward, CA, including evenings and weekends as needed, and to stand, walk the lot, and accompany customers on test drives. Previous automotive sales or retail sales experience is beneficial but not required; a willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training is essential.
