We are seeking qualified applicants for the position:Lead Designer, PipingLocated: HoustonSummaryWe are seeking a leader to join us as a Piping Designer located at our Downtown Houston office. This is a Monday-Friday in-office position. General Description Duties & ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership:Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify scope and objectives.Piping Design and Engineering:Develop and review piping layouts, isometrics, and 3D models using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, PDMS, SP3D).Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, codes (ASME, API), and best practices.Conduct stress analysis, material selection, and pipe routing optimization.Team Supervision:Conduct regular design reviews and ensure alignment across disciplines.Foster a collaborative and efficient team environment.Coordination and Communication:Liaise with other engineering disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical) to ensure seamless integration of piping systems.Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, and client presentations.Address technical queries and manage design changes effectively.Quality Assurance:Implement quality control measures and conduct regular design audits.Ensure deliverables meet client and regulatory standards.Address any issues or risks that could impact project delivery.QualificationsRequired experienceMinimum of 5 years previous design experienceTechnical Skills:Proficiency in design software like AutoCAD, MicroStation, PDMS, SmartPlant 3D, or equivalent.Strong knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API).Experience with 3D modeling and clash detection tools..Additional Skills:Familiarity with construction and installation practices.Understanding of project management principles.Experience with international projects and multicultural teams is a plus.Required EducationBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent (preferred but not required).Venture Global LNG is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
