Traveling Mechanical Laborer

$35 per day

Job Description

We are seeking a Traveling Mechanical Laborer to join our team for the installation, repair, and modification of conveyor systems, including overhead, floor, roller, I-beam, and belt conveyors. This role requires extensive travel to job sites and hands-on mechanical labor.

Responsibilities:

Install, modify, and repair conveyor systems on-site.
Operate construction vehicles and use power tools for assembly and installation.
Read tape measures accurately and work with various hand and power tools.
Haul materials and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Travel extensively to job sites, working three weeks on-site with a 3-4 day home rotation.
Perform shop work when not in the field.

Job Details:

Crews travel together using company vehicles (personal vehicle use is optional but not reimbursed for fuel).
Company covers hotel/lodging (2 crew members per room).
$35.00 per day per diem, paid biweekly.
10-hour workdays, 60 hours per week during installation projects.
Payroll is processed weekly (every Thursday).
Healthcare and vision benefits available
90 day probation period.
Pay: $17.00/hour (Shop) | $19.00/hour (Field) – with advancement opportunities after 6+ months.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.
Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical measurements.
Prior experience in general labor, construction, or mechanical work is a plus.
