Sales Consultant - Food Service

Position Overview Imperial Trading Co., LLC is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Food Service Sales Consultant to join the New Orleans, LA team. The consultant will focus on convenience store chains and new business in the South Louisiana and Mississippi region, working closely with multiple departments and company locations. Responsibilities Maintain proficiency with current computer technology and all hardware and software. Effectively resolve all customer issues and opportunities, notifying relevant supervisors and departments, and following up to ensure successful resolution. Create and implement business development initiatives within assigned accounts consistent with company food service sales and profit directives. Conduct outside sales of food service-related programs and equipment, including installation of food service equipment at customers’ places of business. Meet with customers to discuss profitability opportunities with current and new food programs. Train customers on food service programs. Assist the credit department with collections and any additional matters related to accounts receivable retail issues. Work with the appropriate retail service representative or sales admin personnel to resolve issues for all assigned accounts. Present and add new products, programs, and promotions to all assigned accounts on a regular basis, consistently meeting company sales and profit objectives; close retail distribution voids on priority products and programs. Provide accurate sales forecasting and identify, analyze, and provide written business plans to supervisors on under‑performing sales and profit accounts. Identify and implement corrective actions for non‑compliant accounts. Respond efficiently and timely to manage changes in customer payments that could negatively affect accounts receivable. Notify supervisors and management promptly of any issues pertaining to account pricing or competitive proposals. Create and maintain a plan for timely and regular visits to customer chain headquarters, chain store locations, and all assigned independent accounts. Attend sales meetings and company functions. Engage regularly away from the company’s place or places of business. Complete all duties detailed in the business development job description and report work, meetings, and scheduled business affairs on time. Qualifications Proven experience in sales, preferably within the food service or wholesale trade industry. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with CRM software and/or sales analytics tools. Knowledge of food service industry trends and regulations. Benefits Competitive medical, dental, vision packages. Physical Demands The physical demands of this job include light physical activity requiring generally standing, walking, sitting, talking or hearing, using hands to touch, handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Regular lifting of 25 pounds is required, with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment The work environment may require working outdoors in various weather conditions, including wet and humid environments. The noise level is moderate.
