Senior Financial Clerk- Financial Reporting And Analysis
This position serves as the primary liaison with program coordinators, acting as the conduit between programming and grant management for an assigned portfolio of grants. Under the direction of the CFO, the Senior Financial Clerk- Financial Reporting and Analysis delivers specialized financial reporting, reconciliations, and analytical support essential to departmental fiscal oversight.
Essential Duties:
- Grant invoicing [external and internal].
- Monitoring financial performance of assigned grants and preparing related financial summaries.
- Maintaining all grant budget and financial records.
- Administering grant contracts to ensure compliance with contract terms and deliverables.
- Assembling, managing, and creating documentation to support grants and financial reporting needs.
- Record keeping and maintaining organized financial documentation.
- Financial reporting [external and internal], including preparation of internal financial summaries and analysis supporting departmental fiscal oversight.
- Fund management for grants from award through closeout, including routine financial reconciliations.
- Administering contracts and verifying financial details associated with contractual obligations.
- Coordinating with Program Coordinators on grant-related financial matters and supporting data needs.
- Participating in grant programming status meetings and providing financial updates.
- Working closely with Administration and divisional teams on identifying and reconciling grant-related expenses.
- Organizing and generating reports [weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually] with a focus on internal analytics, variance review, and trend identification.
- Supporting departmental financial operations through reconciliations, close-process activities, and preparation of schedules for CFO review.
- Developing templates, procedures, and processes to improve financial reporting, analytical workflow, and grant management efficiency.
- Participate in departmental and agency-wide committees, workgroups, quality improvement initiatives, accreditation activities, emergency preparedness efforts, and special projects as assigned DCHD expects all employees to actively contribute to organizational initiatives that support the Department's mission and strategic priorities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years project/financial management experience OR associate degree and 3-4 years project/financial management experience OR five years increasingly responsible project/financial management experience.
