Enterprise Systems Administrator

POSITION OVERVIEW In this role, you will support and maintain our Microsoft-based IT environment. This role focuses on Microsoft 365, Azure, endpoint management, and security while helping ensure our systems run smoothly and securely. You’ll work closely with the IT team to troubleshoot issues, improve systems, and support employees across the organization. Location: Portland, ME (Primarily On-Site) Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt Salary: $90,000.00 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) Administer Azure/Entra ID (user accounts, MFA, access controls) Support endpoint management using Microsoft Intune Maintain system security, including firewalls and access policies Monitor backups and assist with disaster recovery Troubleshoot system, network, and user issues Automate routine tasks using PowerShell Serve as a point of escalation for complex IT issues Document systems and help improve IT processes QUALIFICATIONS 2+ years of IT systems administration, endpoint management or enterprise IT environments Hands-on experience with Microsoft 5 365 and Azure Knowledge of networking basics (DNS, VPNs, firewalls) Experience with endpoint management tools (Intune preferred) Experience working with Azure or similar cloud platforms in an administrative capacity Practical experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and system administration tasks Experience managing Entra ID (Azure AD), including user lifecycle, MFA, and conditional access Experience supporting endpoint management solutions such as Microsoft Intune or similar tools Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewall concepts Experience troubleshooting Windows environments and hybrid (on-premises and cloud) environments Exposure to backup solutions and basic disaster recovery processes Familiarity with PowerShell scripting Strong problem-solving and communication skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Microsoft certifications (Azure, M365, etc.) Experience with security tools (Microsoft Defender) Knowledge of security best practices Work Environment Primarily on-site (approximately 90%) Occasional after-hours or weekend support Some travel to company locations may be required Pay: $90,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Experience: System admin, endpoint mngmt or enterprise IT environment: 2 years (Required) Work Location: In person #J-18808-Ljbffr
