Shipping and Receiving Clerk

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk accurately picks, scans, and processes orders in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role requires being on your feet throughout the shift while using pick sheets and scanning equipment to ensure that products are selected, prepared, and moved efficiently and correctly.

Responsibilities

• Pick products accurately based on pick sheets and order requirements.
• Use scanning equipment to scan orders and verify product information.
• Perform shipping and receiving activities, including processing incoming and outgoing orders.
• Move throughout the warehouse on foot for the duration of the shift to locate, pick, and stage products.
• Ensure that all orders are handled with accuracy and attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Follow established warehouse procedures and safety guidelines at all times.
• Assist with maintaining an organized work area, including staging and storage locations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding order status and any issues encountered.

Essential Skills

• 12 years of warehouse experience.
• Experience in shipping and receiving operations.
• Experience with order selection and product picking.
• Ability to work on your feet for an entire shift.
• Ability to read and follow pick sheets accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling orders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience using RF scanners is a plus.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and warehouse protocols.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Work Environment

This role is based in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment where you will be on your feet for the majority of the day. The position follows a first-shift schedule, typically starting at 5:00 a.m. and ending when work is completed, usually around 2:002:30 p.m., with the first day generally starting at 6:00 a.m. The schedule runs Monday through Friday. Closed-toe shoes are required as part of the dress code, and you will work around standard warehouse equipment and materials in a physically active setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $17.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
