Jr. Systems Administrator

Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Jr. Systems Administrator on a 10‑year contract providing User Facing and Data Center Services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to support innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment and disposal of user‑facing and data center IT services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide, to support the IC mission. Responsibilities Systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, OS installation, and other local area system administration functions. Support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems and management of system infrastructure and related processes. Day‑to‑day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Tier 2 and Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution. Escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Installation of PC hardware, server hardware, and network connections. Installation/load of operating system and application software. Isolation and resolution of hardware and software problems involving applications, OS, hardware, communications infrastructure, or any combination. Troubleshooting, maintaining integrity and configuring network components while implementing OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Software installations and upgrades to Unix/Windows OS and layered software packages, with maintenance in accordance with policies, procedures, licensing, and SLAs; evaluation and installation of patches and resolution of COTS/GOTS associated problems. Creation and maintenance of procedures for managing multiple linked databases, including security, data safety and integrity, disaster recovery, and bulk data import/export. Routine and emergency maintenance of assigned data center equipment. Communication/coordination of scheduled preventive maintenance windows with impacted customers. Contribution to development, administration, and testing of backup and recovery plans. Ensuring systems are secure to STIG guidelines using tools such as Retina and HBSS. Maintenance of operational, configuration, and SOPs. Verification of system availability with existing Enterprise tools. Clearance Required TS/SCI with eligibility to obtain CI poly. Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Certifications Must have Security+ certification or DoD 8570 Level II equivalent within 90 days of hire. Required Skills UNIX, Windows, and/or Storage administration. Experience with trouble ticket reporting and tracking systems such as ServiceNow. Ability to respond to after‑hour calls (provide on‑call support). Ability to travel 0‑20% to local and other similar architecture/footprint locations. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high‑pressure environment. Desired Skills Experience in the imagery intelligence domain. Ability to create and modify scripts on Windows, Linux, and Solaris systems. Knowledge of the Customer’s processes, procedures and production systems. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high‑pressure environment. Ability to function as a team member and independently. Preferred skills in Windows Server, RedHat, IRIX, Solaris, Sybase, Informix, SQL, and Imagery Production Chain. General knowledge of database and network administration and network configuration management skills. Must have a valid US passport.
