Principal EHS Consultant – Business Growth Leader Location Pacific Northwest, Seattle, WA or Portland, OR Contract Full-time, permanent Role Overview Responsible for driving growth across safety, occupational health, and broader EHS services in the Seattle, Portland, and Pacific Northwest region. Combines deep technical credibility with commercial acumen to expand footprint in key regional industries, leading and mentoring high-performing consulting teams. Requires travel 30–50%. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute regional growth strategy focused on safety and EHS consulting services. Build, manage, and grow a personal and regional book of business through client development, cross‑selling, and long‑term partnerships. Identify, pursue, and win new opportunities; lead proposal development, pricing strategy, and client presentations. Serve as trusted senior advisor to clients on safety management systems, regulatory compliance, risk management, and EHS performance improvement. Lead and oversee complex consulting engagements, ensuring delivery excellence across scope, schedule, budget, and quality. Collaborate with national service line leaders to expand multidisciplinary solutions. Mentor and develop regional consulting talent, fostering a high‑performance and growth‑oriented culture. Represent BSI in the market through networking, industry events, and thought leadership. Qualifications 15+ years of consulting experience in safety, EHS, or risk management within a professional services environment. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in EHS, safety, engineering, science, or related field. Deep safety consulting expertise, including occupational health and industrial hygiene. Strong business development success, at least 5 years of revenue generation, sales, and client growth experience. Proven record of growing markets, developing client portfolios, and driving sustainable revenue. Strong executive presence and credibility with senior client stakeholders. Established relationships in semiconductor, healthcare, biopharma, chemical, manufacturing, energy, education, or industrial sectors (preferred). Experience leading, mentoring, and scaling consulting teams. Open to 30–50% travel. Benefits Competitive total reward package with base annual salary ranging from $126,000 to $170,000.
