Job#: 3046233 Job Description Application Support Engineer Location Charlotte, North Carolina (Onsite) Role Overview This role offers an opportunity to enhance domain, technical, and process expertise by supporting a critical Treasury portfolio. The position involves advancing monitoring knowledge with tools like Dynatrace and Splunk, and supporting applications on platforms such as Hadoop, Cloud, and Grids. The candidate will be expected to use AI in daily tasks and will develop process knowledge in Incident Management, Problem Management, and Application Resiliency. Key Responsibilities Respond to and resolve business queries for the ERFT space. Communicate the overall status and health of the application to business lines and management. Identify areas for improvement in monitoring, application stability, and root cause analysis speed. Collaborate with Technology Infrastructure and Development Teams on releases and upgrades. Manage the user query mailbox, ensuring timely and appropriate responses. Handle feed and batch support items, including alert and monitoring management. Utilize framework tools such as ITSM, ITRS, JIRA, DynaTrace, and Splunk for updates and reporting. Manage incidents, providing user notifications and handling escalations as needed. Maintain documentation and manage knowledge transfer. Coordinate issue resolution with various development teams. Assist with metrics reporting and coordinate Business Continuity testing. Organize and lead meetings for issue resolution. Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual, repetitive tasks. Required Qualifications Experience: 5+ years of Production Support experience. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of SQL, UNIX / LINUX. Working knowledge of ITRS, DynaTrace, and Splunk. Working knowledge of job scheduling tools such as Autosys and Bob jobs. Hands-on experience with databases (Oracle, Teradata) and Hadoop. Experience with Unix, Quartz, Grid, Cloud, and Containers. Strong knowledge of AI tools. Python scripting knowledge. Professional Skills Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and ITIL concepts. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent project and time management skills. Ability to work effectively in a multi-regional team. Creative and strong problem-solving capabilities. Ability to operate in high-pressure situations and interact with senior management. Willingness to provide stand-by out-of-hours support on a rotational basis as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the financial or banking industry, particularly with Treasury and Liquidity business. Familiarity with Agile methodology. Operations exposure with Windows OS.
