Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical/Surgical Duration: 9 weeks Shift: 2nd Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of one year experience in Medical/Surgical nursing preferred License: Current state Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact) Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent Must-Have: Excellent customer service, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills. Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice. Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to a primarily adult population. The Staff RN-Inpatient job description incorporates essential functions adapted from the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010). Required skills include customer service, critical thinking, communication, organizational skills, and nursing theory. Education required is an Associate's degree in nursing. Preferred education is a Bachelor's degree in nursing. Preferred certifications or licensure are not applicable.
