Role Overview GEM is an independent investment management firm that has provided customized solutions for long-term investors worldwide since 2007, combining disciplined investment research and active portfolio management. GEM is hiring a senior investment professional to join its Investment Research Group and lead its venture capital secondaries and co-investment practice, reporting to the Managing Director of Venture Capital. Key Responsibilities Lead sourcing, evaluation and execution of secondary transactions and co-investment opportunities across the technology and venture capital landscape Contribute to building GEM's venture capital program across primaries, secondaries and co-investments Identify and assess secondary market opportunities, including LP interest sales and structured liquidity solutions Source and evaluate co-investment opportunities alongside GEM's venture capital and technology-focused fund managers Lead underwriting and due diligence, including financial modeling, market analysis and reference checks Build and maintain relationships with top-tier venture capital managers, technology investors and intermediaries in the Bay Area and beyond Participate in capital formation activities and client-facing communications Mentor junior investment professionals Qualifications 10+ years of experience in venture capital, fund-of-funds, or institutional investing Deep knowledge of the technology sector Proven ability to source and underwrite secondaries and co-investments Highly self-motivated, analytically rigorous, with strong deal judgment Location San Francisco, CA. #J-18808-Ljbffr InforCapital
