As an Event Assistant, you’ll serve as a key connection between the public and the nonprofit organizations we proudly represent. Your work will help raise awareness and promote meaningful causes through in-person community events. This position is perfect for someone interested in gaining hands-on experience in events, promotions, or nonprofit outreach. Whether you’re starting your career or exploring a new opportunity, we provide personalized training based on your current experience and goals. Responsibilities Interact directly with attendees at local events, sharing information about our nonprofit partners and encouraging community engagement. Assist with logistical tasks, including setting up and breaking down event displays, materials, and signage to ensure smooth and professional presentations. Participate in team meetings to review campaign goals, share updates, and contribute ideas to improve overall performance. Build awareness of our partner organizations by developing meaningful connections with the public and effectively communicating each mission. Maintain professional conduct in all interactions with teammates, vendors, and members of the community. Adapt to changing event needs and remain flexible in fast-paced environments. Help create a positive, supportive team culture that encourages collaboration, learning, and creativity. Take on additional duties or tasks as assigned by the management team to support overall event success. Qualifications Experience in events, customer service, marketing, or public relations is helpful but not required. Genuine passion for helping others and contributing to the community. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and stay focused. Excellent verbal communication skills with a friendly, approachable presence. Self-starter with a willingness to learn and adjust quickly. Comfortable working independently as well as in a team-focused setting.
