Occupational Therapist (OT)Pay: From $68/hour Location: Alhambra, CA Job Type: Full-Time | Part-Time AvailableWe are seeking a dedicated Staff Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our rehabilitation team. In this role, you will evaluate and treat residents, collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team, and maintain accurate clinical documentation. You will also play an essential role in staff training, restorative care support, and patient-centered rehabilitation planning.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate residents to determine occupational therapy needs, functional limitations, and rehabilitation potential in accordance with physician orders and facility policiesDevelop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and independence with ADLsSupervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), aides, and students in compliance with state practice guidelinesCollaborate with physicians, nursing staff, interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families to support care planning and discharge goalsParticipate in care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehab team discussionsProvide in-service training and education for facility staff on an ongoing basisComplete timely and compliant documentation in systems such as Net Health and PointClickCareMaintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control and safety protocolsEducate residents and families on home exercise programs, safety strategies, and fall preventionRecommend and coordinate durable medical equipment (DME) to promote independence (adaptive devices, splints, grab bars, etc.)Support quality assurance and performance improvement initiativesMaintain confidentiality and ensure department equipment is safe and functionalQualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required (Master's or Doctorate preferred)Experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care settings preferredProficient in electronic medical records (EMR systems such as Net Health, PointClickCare)Licensure & CertificationsCurrent Occupational Therapist license (OT) in the stateLicense must be in good standingCPR certification (if required by state or facility)Meets all continuing education requirementsSkillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to solve clinical problems and manage patient care effectivelyAbility to read and interpret clinical policies and proceduresSupervisionSupervises COTAs, therapy aides, and studentsWhy Join Us?Competitive pay starting at $68/hourSupportive interdisciplinary teamOpportunities for professional growth and continuing educationMeaningful work improving patient independence and quality of lifeAlhambra is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
