Depending on the client's individual care plan, responsibilities may include: Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene Providing companionship and meaningful social interaction Preparing nutritious meals Assisting with walking, mobility, exercise, and safe transfers Providing medication reminders and assistance with self-administration of medications as permitted Accompanying clients to medical appointments and errands Providing respite and support for family caregivers Helping clients maintain a safe and comfortable home environment Observing and reporting changes in a client's physical, cognitive, or behavioral condition Assisting with incontinence care Supporting clients with activities of daily living Assisting with approved specialized care activities after appropriate training Following the client's individualized care plan and Nova Leap Home Health safety procedures Above all, you will help our clients maintain their independence, dignity, safety, and quality of life at home. Who We're Looking For Great caregivers are compassionate, dependable, patient, and committed to helping others. Successful candidates should have: A genuine desire to care for and support older adults Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliability and good judgment The ability to follow an individualized client care plan A valid driver's license Reliable transportation and required automobile insurance The ability to successfully complete required background screening The ability to complete and maintain all Nova Leap Home Health required training and annual education Previous caregiving, PCA, HHA, CNA, assisted living, nursing home, or home care experience is welcomed. You'll Have Support You are not alone when you are caring for a Nova Leap Home Health client. Our local team is available to provide guidance, training, and support so that you can feel confident in the care you provide. Caregivers receive appropriate training before using specialized transfer equipment or assisting with specialized care tasks included in a client's care plan.
