Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive legal advice and guidance on a wide range of legal matters, ensuring that the firm's interests are protected.
• Handle all aspects of civil litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, negotiating settlements, and representing the firm in court proceedings.
• Manage plaintiff litigation cases, working closely with clients to develop legal strategies, prepare for trial, and achieve favorable outcomes.
• Oversee insurance litigation matters, advising on risk management issues, negotiating with insurance companies, and representing the firm in related disputes.
• Conduct thorough and timely legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
• Draft high-quality legal documents, briefs, and memoranda, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to legal standards.
• Provide effective dispute resolution services, mediating conflicts, and negotiating settlements to avoid costly and time-consuming litigation.
• Stay current on changes in law and legal practices, and contribute to the firm's knowledge base through ongoing learning and professional development.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the New Jersey Bar.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department, with a focus on Plaintiff Litigation, Civil Litigation, and Insurance Litigation.
• Proven track record of success in managing litigation cases and achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
• Exceptional legal research and writing skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents.
• Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively mediate conflicts and negotiate settlements.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity.
