Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a significant impact supporting students as a skilled Sign Language Interpreter for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time, onsite opportunity in the Tavares, FL area involves working 1:1 with a student, helping to facilitate access to classroom instruction and social experiences. Anticipate a caseload focusing on K-12 students, and join a collaborative environment dedicated to inclusive education.

Key Qualifications:

• Meets educational interpreter requirements for schools
• Holds EIPA level 3 or higher OR possesses RID: NIC, NAD, or Educational Certification (K-12 or OTC)
• Ability to complete time-sensitive two-part onboarding, including all district-required documentation and credentialing
• Professionalism and strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, students, and staff
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and fostering a supportive learning environment

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality interpretation and transliteration services in classrooms and school activities to support a student’s full participation
• Interpret teacher instruction, peer communication, and other school functions
• Collaborate closely with school personnel and special education teams
• Maintain accurate timesheets and respond promptly to documentation or procedural requirements
• Adhere to district policies and interpreters’ code of ethics
