Our organization’s Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine boasts a remarkable legacy in the fields of lung health, patient care, and research.

Achieving excellence in respiratory and critical care, along with research and education, is essential for a distinguished Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. We are currently focused on attracting top-tier clinicians and researchers to enhance and promote translational clinical programs that offer personalized, innovative treatments for patients facing respiratory conditions and critical illnesses. These initiatives aim to draw residents from Manhattan and the surrounding Tri-State area to seek specialized outpatient services from our clinical leaders and to utilize our inpatient services for comprehensive management of pulmonary diseases, pulmonary hypertension, and critical care needs.

As a faculty member within the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine, you will be tasked with delivering exceptional care to our patients while also contributing to the Division’s research, clinical, and educational programs. In your capacity as a specialist in Pulmonary Hypertension and a Critical Care physician, you will be expected to provide cutting-edge therapies to our patients. Additionally, you will play a vital role in educating students and trainees about pulmonary and critical care physiology and medicine, and where applicable, mentor them in the practice of medicine. In alignment with the Division’s mission, part of your responsibility will involve informing patients about advanced treatment options in critical care, enhancing their understanding, and empowering them to pursue appropriate care and treatment as necessary.

The Institute for Critical Care Medicine (ICCM) within our health system stands as one of the foremost Critical Care Organizations in the nation and is home to one of the largest Critical Care Training Programs in North America. ICCM manages all facets of critical care within the health system, encompassing clinical, operational, research, and educational activities. By attracting a diverse group of Intensivists and Researchers, ICCM promotes collaboration aimed at achieving exceptional patient care and advancing the field of critical care.

As an Intensivist at ICCM, you will deliver high-quality critical care throughout our health system, covering both ICU settings and broader hospital services. Concurrently, as a faculty member, you will educate, mentor, and inspire the next generation of critical care professionals while also spearheading innovative research projects. Your commitment to excellence will be pivotal in fulfilling our mission of providing outstanding patient care in critical care medicine.

Compensation ranges from $350,000 to $450,000 (excluding bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits).
