Production Worker

Temporary Contract WorkersThese positions work in an industrial work setting manufacturing latex paint products. The job requires employees to perform work according to strict Environmental, Health and Safety Standards. Temporary contract workers work in Material Handling roles requiring the training and use of Industrial Powered Equipment or the Filling Department roles operating automated packaging equipment.Requirements:Follows all safety procedures and works to continuously improve safety in the plant and work areasAbility to follow detailed instructions and be able to record progress/procedures/steps as completedRequired to physically move finished goods, raw materials and packaging related dunnage as neededMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and 80 pounds on an occasional basisAbility to work in a team environmentMust have ability to understand and carry out instructions issued in written and verbal EnglishMust have ability to complete required safety trainingMust have interpersonal skills to work in a positive manner in a team atmosphereAbility to stand for extended periods of time and move over, under, and around forklift, pallet jack, and racking equipmentAbility to lift cases or pails of product and maneuver them as needed on production linesAbility to use computers and warehouse management systems (SAP preferred) to manage, complete and resolve errors as neededPerforms routine quality inspections to ensure all manufacturing steps are performed in acceptable mannerWear protective gear including but not limited to: gloves, safety glasses, and other PPE including respirators as requiredComplete regular inspection of equipment, maintain clean and neat work area and assist others as neededMaintains housekeeping standards and performs cleaning as assigned including daily trash and cardboard dutiesOther tasks as assigned
