Manufacturing Technician - 1st Shift

job summary:
The Manufacturing Technician II performs manufacturing, assembly, testing, and verification activities for single-use technologies and related control systems within a regulated production environment. This role contributes to business performance by ensuring product quality, schedule adherence, operational efficiency, and right-first-time execution across manufacturing processes. The position maintains compliance with GMP, safety, and documentation requirements while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional production objectives.

responsibilities:

• Build, test, program, and troubleshoot bioprocess controllers, pump towers, thin clients, and Mass Flow Controller Assemblies.
• Stage manufacturing systems for integration, validation, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and final quality inspection.
• Complete travelers, batch records, and compliance documentation in strict accordance with GMP and data integrity standards.
• Use common hand tools and electrical test equipment to resolve routine production issues, non-conformances, and repairs.
• Maintain an audit-ready work environment while supporting continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.

 
qualifications:
Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or equipment testing environment.
• Proven ability to read and interpret work instructions, SOPs, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and technical schematics.
• Hands-on experience using hand tools, electrical test equipment, and measurement devices.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted (30 lbs assisted) and stand for extended periods during production shifts.

Preferred:

• Experience in a GMP-regulated biotech or pharmaceutical environment.
• Knowledge of single-use technologies, industrial control systems, or ERP systems (SAP/Agile).
