Director of Finance

Overview Hyatt seeks a Finance Business Partner who embraces agile principles and works cross‑functionally to implement strategic financial strategies aligned with business objectives. This role reports to the General Manager and is pivotal in guiding strategic decision making and financial planning to drive the hotel’s achievements and profitability. Responsibilities Prepare and review all monthly and annual financial statements, investigate variance explanations, and execute corrective measures. Manage and lead hotel accounting functions to ensure proper fiscal management, timely and accurate reporting, budgeting, month‑end close, and cash management. Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive annual business plan aligned with business objectives. Complete the year‑end process, review and approve reconciliations and audit work papers, coordinate external auditors, and reconcile audited reports. Ensure adherence to HMA terms, reporting obligations, and internal controls. Maintain sound internal controls and segregation of duties, monitor legislative changes, and inform business decisions. Mentor and coach the finance team, provide training, feedback, and support future leaders. Support the development of future leaders in all hotel areas and empower employees with financial insights. Supervise IT and Procurement, ensuring understanding of operational and back‑office functions. Collaborate with management to devise strategic cost‑efficiency and revenue‑generation initiatives that align with core business values. Maintain relationships with owners’ representatives and stakeholders, ensuring timely communication and deliverable submission. Embrace a growth mindset and drive value to stakeholders. Qualifications 5+ years of finance career progression; preferred experience in hospitality, retail, or related industry. 2+ years in Director‑level leadership within hospitality or complex environments. Degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred. Ability to interact effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.
