Project Manager - Texas

Job Description Project Manager responsible for all aspects of assigned mission‑critical communication system projects, ensuring successful, on‑time, on‑budget implementation and delivery of the contractual scope, while maintaining customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Serve as the focal point and lead cross‑functional teams to deliver new or upgraded products/services from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to quality metrics, deadlines, and budget constraints. Oversee overall pre‑tax profit and manage the three constraints – quality, cost, and time. Direct and coordinate project team activities to achieve optimal performance and motivation, and lead large or complex programs. Develop the complete project plan, set deliverable dates, track progress, and use standard Project Management tools (schedule, critical path analysis, budget, change order, risk assessment, action item log, etc.). Establish, track, and audit project budgets, analyze variances, and develop required action plans. Coordinate internal resources (System Technologists, Field Service, Service Shop) and third‑party vendors for flawless execution, and manage resource availability and allocation with Scheduling and Engineering Management teams. Manage and communicate changes to scope, schedule, and costs, and measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques. Serve as the primary communicator to the customer's organization and relevant internal senior stakeholders, conduct regular project reviews, and manage relationships of all project resources. Utilize Six Sigma and PMBOK‑based methodologies to ensure maximum project effectiveness, drive efficiency, and continuously improve project management processes. Identify and communicate defects to product planners, support project close‑out tasks, and ensure successful project upgrades. Assist in developing business plans, strategies, and approaches to capitalize on opportunities, participate in quarterly project reviews, and travel to customer locations for on‑site upgrades. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of experience in project management, engineering, or a related field. Experience forecasting and driving revenue through project management. Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills. Familiarity with Six Sigma and other project‑management methodologies. Experience with Public Safety communications systems, cellular infrastructure, civil construction, military communications, IT networks, or similar. PMP and/or CAPM certification (PMMasters certificate a plus). Motorola Solutions Field System Integration experience and understanding of two‑way radio infrastructure, services, and systems. Knowledge of local public safety and federal customers such as police, fire, EMS, and government agencies. Self‑motivated team player capable of working effectively with general guidance toward objectives. Excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain required security clearance. Ability to travel 25–50% of the time within Texas and Oklahoma; residence in Texas is required. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely; employer work‑permit sponsorship not available. Travel Requirements Residence in Texas is mandatory. Travel within Texas and Oklahoma is required, equating to 25% – 50% of the time. Salary Target base salary range: $120,000 – $140,000 USD.
