Traffic/Transportation Engineer – Senior TechnicalWe are looking to hire a senior-level professional with 7+ years of experience to work with the Transportation group in our Norwood, MA office.Responsibilities:Perform detailed engineering analysis tasks, such as traffic analysis; traffic signal sequencing, phasing and timing; traffic data collection; technical reports; and traffic modeling and simulationPrepare engineering plans including traffic signal design; intersection geometrics including Complete Streets principles; pavement markings and signage; and temporary traffic control and construction staging plansAssist in preparation of contract documents, including plans, technical specifications, and construction cost estimatesProvide technical assistance and lead technical aspects on multiple and a variety of transportation and transportation related projectsProvide responsive client service and strong communication, both internally and externallySupervise and complete traffic planning and engineering analyses, alternatives analysis and designsPrepare materials and attend project related meetings outside of the office with clients, agencies, and the publicAttend client meetings, presentations and public hearingsMaintain organized project filesProvide technical guidance to junior staff and aids in the delegation of tasksRequired Experience:7+ years of relevant traffic/transportation experiencePE required, PTOE preferredExperience with traffic impact studies, corridor studies, signal design, and signing / pavement markingExperience using CADD (AutoCAD or MicroStation), Vissim, and SynchroExperience with Public Meetings or Forums preferredManagement experience preferredBL Companies is 100% employee owned, giving us a competitive edge and a unique distinction from most other companies.
