School Social Worker (Full-Time)

Overview Providence Catholic is hiring a full-time School Social Worker in our Counseling Department to begin August 6, 2026. Job Responsibilities Serve as a role model and witness to our faith community Embrace the Augustinian Values of Truth, Unity, and Love Assist in developing positive behavioral intervention strategies Develop and coordinate programs for students and parents addressing student mental health, along with student behavior and concerns Develop and facilitate groups based on the assessed need of the students Provide staff information on factors affecting student performance and behavior Develop staff in-service training Perform risk assessments for students Provide individual, group, and family counseling Participate in special needs assessments and educational planning meetings Provide crisis intervention and work as part of emergency planning team Help students develop appropriate social skills Assist in conflict resolution and anger management Assist parents in accessing community resources Professional Credentials Master\'s Degree (Required) Current IL PEL w/ Social Worker Endorsement (Required) School Social Work Experience (Preferred) Certifications and Requirements (May be completed after hire) DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate Illinois Sexual Harassment Training Certificate Diocese of Joliet Protecting God\'s Children Diocese of Joliet Fingerprinting & Background Check Work Physical/Statement of Health from Physician Salary Range Year 1: $44,761-$47,763; based on education and experience.
