Company Description Adventum Group LLC delivers integrated component and infrastructure solutions that directly support defense readiness, from initial design models through mission deployment. The company provides precision sourcing of obsolete and hard-to-find parts, including reverse engineering and build-to-print manufacturing to resolve DMSMS challenges and keep mission-critical systems operational. Adventum also designs, fabricates, and installs secure structures and infrastructure, such as SCIFs, relocatable and modular facilities, specialized HVAC systems, and custom-built spaces for defense programs. Every part and structure is modeled, engineered, and then built for service, with solutions delivered through established distribution channels and direct installation relationships. Adventum operates within multiple NAICS codes, with a primary focus on commercial and institutional building construction and specialized defense-related fabrication and services.

Role Description This full-time, remote Business Development Manager, Defense & Federal role is responsible for driving growth across defense and federal markets for Adventum’s component sourcing and secure infrastructure solutions. The position involves identifying and qualifying new opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers and program managers, and managing a pipeline of opportunities within DoD and federal agencies. The Business Development Manager will collaborate with engineering, operations, and leadership to shape proposals, respond to RFPs and RFQs, and develop value-driven solutions aligned with customer mission requirements. Day-to-day activities include market research, strategic account planning, outreach and presentations, participation in industry events, and tracking opportunities through the full capture and sales lifecycle. The role also supports contract negotiation, pricing strategies, and partnership development to expand Adventum’s presence in defense and federal markets.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development, capture management, or sales in defense and federal markets, with familiarity navigating DoD and federal acquisition processes.

• Background working with infrastructure, construction, secure facilities (e.g., SCIFs), modular structures, or related technical solutions for government or defense customers.
\n
• Strong skills in relationship building, stakeholder engagement, and account management with program offices, contracting officers, and prime contractors.

• Ability to conduct market and opportunity research, develop account plans, qualify leads, and manage opportunity pipelines using CRM tools.

• Proficiency in developing proposals, presentations, and responses to RFI/RFQ/RFPs, including coordinating technical inputs and pricing with internal teams.

• Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate value propositions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting, prioritize multiple opportunities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, management, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience in defense or federal sectors
