You’ll pitch and write buzzy, can’t-miss stories daily with speed, accuracy, and unmistakable voice. We want someone who’s always one step ahead—plugged into social media trends, fluent in fan culture, and relentless in uncovering those juicy, under-the-radar scoops that make Page Six sizzle. Let’s make headlines.Note: The schedule for this role is Tuesday-Friday 1-9pm EST, Saturday 10am-6pm EST.Responsibilities:Pitch and write several celebrity- and entertainment-based stories quickly and with clean copy dailyProactively seek out and uncover under-the-radar stories that will resonate with the Page Six audienceHave your finger on the pulse of what fans are talking about on social media and the ability to create content that fits their interestsHelp expand Page Six’s nighttime news coverage by monitoring social media and using analytics tools (Google Analytics, Parse.ly, etc.) to achieve successBe a self-starter and have the ability to think quickly on their feet and multitask in a fast-paced news environmentHave an understanding of SEO best practices and analytics and use that knowledge to help guide coverageQualifications:At least two years of major journalism experienceA deep understanding of and passion for all things celebrity and entertainmentExceptional writing and reporting skillsAbility to write succinct, eye-catching headlines and clean, ready-to-publish contentKnowledge and understanding of SEO best practicesStrong editorial judgment and communication skillsFamiliarity with content management systems (Wordpress, in particular), photo editing software & web analytics toolsFlexibility in covering live pop culture events (i.e. Oscars, Golden Globes, etc.) and working outside traditional business hours when neededNote: The New York Post adheres to an on-site work model. NYC-based candidates will be expected to report into the office 5 days per week.
