General Job Function
Provide data-driven academic interventions aligned with New Mexico State Standards and district instructional frameworks. Support student achievement through implementation of evidence-based reading and mathematics instruction, intervention strategies, progress monitoring, and collaboration with school staff to improve student outcomes.

Instructional Responsibilities
Support high-quality core instruction through collaboration with classroom teachers and implementation of district-adopted curriculum and instructional strategies.
Tier 2
Provide targeted intervention instruction for students identified as needing additional academic support based on Istation/ISIP, Amira, district benchmark assessments, classroom performance, and progress monitoring data.
Tier 3
Provide intensive intervention instruction for students demonstrating significant academic deficits and requiring individualized instructional support based on state and district assessment data.

General Job Function
Provide data-driven academic interventions aligned with New Mexico State Standards and district instructional frameworks. Support student achievement through implementation of evidence-based reading and mathematics instruction, intervention strategies, progress monitoring, and collaboration with school staff to improve student outcomes.
Education, Training, and Experience
- Valid New Mexico Teacher License required.
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of successful teaching experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and carry out assigned responsibilities with professionalism and accountability.
- Knowledge of evidence-based literacy and mathematics intervention practices.
- Understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) frameworks.
- Ability to analyze student performance data, including Istation/ISIP, Amira benchmark assessments, district math assessments, and other state-approved assessment tools to guide instructional decisions.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, administrators, and families.
- Proficiency in instructional technology and standard office software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
Resources used in performing job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Standard office equipment and instructional technology.
- District-approved instructional curriculum and assessment tools.
- District vehicle for travel, when available. Employees using personal vehicles for district business may be eligible for mileage reimbursement in accordance with district policy.
- Regularly required to walk, talk, hear, and actively engage with students and staff.
- Frequently required to stand, sit, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms.
- Required to use hands and fingers to operate equipment and instructional materials.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
- Occasional light lifting may be required.

Essential Job Functions
Instructional Responsibilities
- Ensure fidelity of implementation of district-adopted reading and mathematics instructional programs and interventions.
- Support implementation of a multi-tiered intervention model using district-approved core, supplemental, and intervention curricula.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, instructional coaches, and administrators to support student academic achievement.
- Utilize student assessment data to identify instructional needs and develop targeted intervention plans.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on assessment results and instructional outcomes.
- Provide small-group and individualized intervention instruction in reading and mathematics based on student needs.
- Maintain documentation of intervention services, student progress, intervention fidelity, and assessment data.
- Use NMPED-approved screening and progress monitoring tools, including Istation/ISIP and district-adopted assessments, to inform instructional planning and intervention delivery.

Professional Responsibilities / Personal Accountability
- Demonstrate reliability through regular attendance and punctuality.
- Properly notify supervisors and/or designated personnel regarding absences or tardiness in accordance with district procedures.
- Complete assigned duties within established timelines.
- Maintain professional appearance appropriate to the work environment.
- Demonstrate safe and effective use of equipment and instructional resources.
- Protect district resources through appropriate use and care of supplies and equipment.
- Utilize appropriate body mechanics and safety procedures to reduce the risk of injury.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student and staff information.
- Participate in professional development and ongoing training as required.
Employment is contingent upon:
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening, if required by district policy.
- Compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
- Submission of all required documentation verifying qualifications and eligibility for employment.
