Staff Accountant | Cadillac, MI

Salary Range: $57,000 - $87,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Cadillac seeking Staff Accountants who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank and intercompany.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Analyze manufacturing variances and cost of goods sold.
• Process accounts payable invoices and employee expense reports.
• Support annual audits by providing documentation and analysis.
• Maintain fixed asset ledger and depreciation schedules.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and cost accounting principles
• Experience with inventory management and analysis
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with an ERP system like SAP or Oracle.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• CPA candidate or actively pursuing CPA licensure.
