What youll be doing

Responsible for providing coaching to a small team to manage workloads working on well-defined matters and ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the department. The role provides employees with day-to-day direction and tasks in alignment with department procedures and performs activities related to the development and implementation of procedures and practices. The role follows established policies to analyze situations data and processes improving the client experience by demonstrating and championing the delivery of high quality service and problem resolution to meet or exceed expectations of clients and the business. The role ensures that privacy and security of information policies are being met and identifies and makes recommendations to improve employees productivity processes tools and services.

How youll succeed

• Day to day manage a team of Commercial Client Banking Specialists including the following:
• Maintain sound relations with the organizations customers by providing services before during and after a transaction
• Manage and maintain customer information databases; providing product and service.
• Develop when appropriate conduct and complete customized business-specific procedural
• Recommend and implement programs to support customer needs.
• Resolve customer inquiries and complaints timely and effectively.
• Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
• Assist with identifying process enhancement opportunities
• Develop and implement departmental policies procedures and standards
• Assist with special projects as assigned by management

• Preferred formal education: Bachelors degree
• Minimum 5 years in client focused role with demonstrated experience in commercial banking
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint) required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills including ability to prioritize client requests
• Leadership coaching and foster teamwork

At CIBC we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $65000.00 - $80000.00 for the market based on experience qualifications and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business units incentive compensation plan which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
