We are a Non-Profit, behavioral health setting, working with diverse groups with traditional and cultural awareness and sensitivity.This is a full-time on-site role for a Substance Abuse/Mental Health Counselor. The Substance Abuse/Mental Health Counselor will be responsible for conducting assessments, providing individual and group therapy, and case management. Maintains fidelity to the EBPs being utilized.RequirementsSkills/Knowledge/Abilities:Strong foundation in Social Work, Psychology, and Mental HealthExperience in Case Management, Family Therapy, and/or other relevant fieldsKnowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities for substance use and mental health disordersExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCurrent licensure or eligibility for licensure in New Mexico as a clinical therapistExperience with co-occurring disorders is a plusMaster's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related fieldAlso accepting LSAA and LADAC licensesEducation and Experience:Current New Mexico License as a Mental Health Counselor or Therapist (Independent License Preferred) - LSAA, LADAC, LMCH, LMSW, LPCC, LCSWPrefer at least two years of experience working with clients with co-occurring mental health/substance abuse diagnoses, providing individual and group psychotherapy.Must be computer literate to effectively maintain compliance with BHSD Standards and requirements for the use of computerized client assessments, data systems, etc.Maintain current, valid NM Driver's License. Must also have and maintain a clean driving record and auto insurance.Bi-lingual/Bi-cultural preferred. (English/Spanish)
