While this role supports a wide range of building and manufacturing equipment maintenance activities, we are ideally looking for a technician with a strong foundation in both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair. Experience with PLC-controlled equipment is a plus.The ideal candidate has completed an Industrial Maintenance program or possesses equivalent hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Success in this role requires strong technical aptitude, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and excellent communication skills, as you'll work closely with employees across multiple departments and levels of the organization.This position is a 1st shift weekday role, with the majority of work being performed in Middleton, though opportunities for cross-training and occasional support in Mazomanie may be required based on business needs. Additionally, we provide a clean and climate-controlled environment, a fitness center, an at-cost deli, and health and wellness professionals and programs.Representative Responsibilities:Maintains buildingAssists in maintaining building HVACAssist with equipment serviced by outside contractorsMaintains interior and exterior lighting and repair's fixtures as neededMaintains building plumbing systemsMaintains outdoor grounds as well as sidewalks and building entry / exitsAssist in setting up employee workstations as neededAssists in performing quarterly and annual inspections of the sprinkler systemPerforms preventative and emergency maintenance on factory equipmentSet up or adjust manufacturing areas as neededSupport all manufacturing equipment that require preventive maintenance or repairsFollows policies and procedures for maintenance and repairs, reports necessary changes when identifiedEntering equipment and task data into SAPStocks suppliesEnsures building supplies, such as paint, bulbs, ballasts, filters, and belts are ordered in a timely fashion so that there is sufficient stock in-house when neededMaintains a clean, organized and safe work environmentEnsures after task is completed, floor is swept and tools are returned to the designated locationsCommunicates identifiable problems to management when problems ariseAssist with inspecting and installing machine guarding, storage for material, plant maintenance, aisle ways, etc. for compliance with established standardsEnsures priorities are met and jobs are completed on timeEnsures safety standards are adhered to at all timesEnsures that safe methods and practices are usedAbides by safety procedures, work practice controls, and OSHA guidelinesEnsures that personal protective equipment is worn when requiredOther duties as assignedSpecial projects and requests are completed in a timely and positive fashionMinimum Requirements:High School diploma or equivalent (GED)All levels of prior experience will be consideredDemonstrated ability to work independently and perform multiple tasks without general supervisionGood manual dexterityKnowledge of safety proceduresAble to lift 50 lbsKnowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical work, and other maintenance areasAble to use power tools, hand toolsAble to legally drive forklift and operate pallet jackAble to operate scissors liftMust have a valid driver's licenseAble to work independentlyUnderstands and applies accepted helpdesk principles and practicesExperience in increasingly responsible positions in maintenance or facilitiesExperience in a team environmentExperience with problem tracking tools
