Chemical Engineer

Our client located South of the Toledo, OH area is seeking a Direct Hire Chemical Engineer to join their tight-knit engineering team. This dynamic role focuses on managing capital expenditure projects and driving continuous plant improvement. The ideal candidate possesses 3 or more years of process engineering experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, and a deep understanding of safe process design.

responsibilities:

• Support capital expenditure (CapEx) projects and continuous improvement initiatives, balancing project management with day-to-day production support.

• Design safe chemical processes, including the development and evaluation of complex heat and mass balances.

• Participate in HAZOP reviews and execute action items to ensure safety standards and compliance are met across all process designs.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with local maintenance and operations teams, as well as remote engineering departments, to support equipment optimization and troubleshooting.

• Conduct technical evaluations for the procurement, design, and safe installation of plant capital equipment.
