Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current RN license Certifications: None required Must-Have: - ICU skill set - ACLS - BLS - PALS - At least 1 year of ICU/PACU experience Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. The unit has 16 beds with a patient ratio of 1:2. There is no unit secretary or tech; only RNs will be present. Equipment includes bedside monitors and arterial lines. The documentation system utilized is Meditech. This position will require 12-hour shifts with call rotations. There is no floating policy in place. Excellent teamwork is a key feature of this unit. Intubations are performed in this unit, but anesthesia leads this procedure. Certifications such as CCRN and CAPA are preferred. The required uniform is navy blue scrubs. Prospective candidates should be aware of the department's outstanding teamwork and staff tenure.
