Dining Room Supervisor

The Dining Room Supervisor leads front-of-house staff, ensures excellent customer service, and supports daily dining operations. This role requires leadership, attention to detail, and hands-on participation in service.

Key responsibilities include supervising, training, mentoring, and evaluating front-of-house staff; assigning sections, monitoring service flow, and ensuring resident satisfaction; creating the schedule and knowing which servers are on schedule and assigning sections on a rotating basis; reviewing communication logs and meal bookings; coordinating special diets and events; assisting servers with table setting and breakdown as appropriate, making sure clean linen is available, and ordering from linen supplier; monitoring safety standards, cleanliness, and equipment use; communicating with nursing regarding incidents or resident needs; and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED preferred, 1+ year experience in food service or hospitality; leadership/mentoring experience preferred; Food Handler’s Permit required; and strong leadership, conflict resolution, multitasking, and communication skills.

Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs; pushing 250 lb carts or residents; standing, walking, bending, squatting, and performing repetitive arm/hand motions.
