Float PhlebotomistPride Health is hiring a Float Phlebotomist to support our client's medical facility in Seattle, WA. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance). And a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organisation! Specific duties include:Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection for patients of all ages, ensuring accurate patient identification and specimen labeling.Collect, process, prepare, and transport laboratory specimens according to established procedures and perform authorized waived testing.Provide patient instructions for specimen collection and post-phlebotomy care while maintaining patient comfort and safety.Troubleshoot specimen collection and processing issues, locate missing laboratory orders and specimens, and maintain accurate documentation.Assist with patient registration, front desk operations, telephone inquiries, and communication with patients, providers, and clinic staff.Maintain laboratory supplies, rotate inventory, and dispose of sharps and biohazardous waste in compliance with safety standards and HIPAA requirements.Float between multiple draw stations throughout the Seattle area to provide staffing coverage as needed.Requirements include:High School Diploma or GED required.Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Certificate Program required.Minimum of 1 year of computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and strong verbal and written communication skills.Current Washington State Medical Assistant–Phlebotomist (MA-Pbt) certification required.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.Must be able to travel 100% of the time between multiple draw stations throughout the Seattle area, with reliable transportation, an unrestricted driver's license, and required auto insurance.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and carry up to 24 pounds.Skills/attributes that will set a candidate apart include:At least 6 months of healthcare, phlebotomy, laboratory, medical assistant, or patient-facing experience.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating accountability, sound judgment, and initiative.Excellent customer service, patient interaction, and communication skills.Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced clinical environment.Job Details:Location: Seattle, WAJob Type: Local contractContract Length: 14 Week/sSchedule: varies between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PMPay Range: $20-$24/hr. on W2.
