Recology Oregon Recovery is hiring several Spotters/Traffic Control for our our Portland location.

• We are looking for Safety Minded candidates.
• Flexibility with a variety of shifts.
• Able to reliably commute to the location for early, late and weekend shifts.

Role of a Spotter/Traffic Control

Under close supervision, directs incoming and outgoing tipping area traffic in a safe and efficient manner according to established policies and procedures. Must be able to work assigned shift.

Essential Responsibilities

• Directs incoming and outgoing tipping area traffic.
• Keeps public and commercial traffic separate.
• Directs vehicles to park at a safe distance from other vehicles.
• Maintains separate tipping area from other trash vehicles, for all end-dump trash trucks.
• Keeps tipping table clear of large debris.
• Reports all hazardous materials to Supervisor for proper documentation and disposal.
• Reports scavenging of any kind from the tipping table to immediate supervisor.
• Talks to customers and directs questions to proper person.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Entry level position.
• Flexible scheduled for a variety of shifts.
