Salary: $21.55/hour - Salary is Negotiable (Employees will receive 5% below the negotiated pay rate during their probationary status.)

Responsible To:  Field Supervisor

Summary: Under the direction of the Field Supervisor, the incumbent performs skill technical work in the operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of the Oneida Nation’s water distribution, groundwater, wastewater collection, and treatment systems. This position helps protect public health and the environment by ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and tribal regulations. Responsibilities include system monitoring, preventative and corrective maintenance, sampling, documentation, and emergency response. Maintain confidentiality of all privileged information. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocations

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants please clearly state how you meet these qualifications on the application/resume

• High school diploma, HSED, or GED required.
• One (1) year experience in construction, maintenance, utilities, public works, or related fields.
• Trenching and shoring competent person training required within one (1) year of employment.
• Must reside within a twenty (20) mile radius of the Oneida Nation Wastewater Treatment Plant and be able to report to the designated work location within thirty (30) minutes of notification while serving on-call.
• Confined Space Entry certification required within one (1) year of employment.
• Water and Wastewater Certification are required and must be obtained within two (2) years of employment:

1. Water Certifications Requirements: WDNR Waterworks Certification and Groundwater Certification
2. Wastewater Certifications Requirements: WDNR Basic Wastewater Certification, Collection Systems Subclass
