Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including detailed physical examinations and comprehensive medical history reviews
• Assist in evaluating and diagnosing surgical conditions via the interpretation of imaging studies and lab results
• Work hand-in-hand with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical treatment plans
• Provide vital intraoperative support by prepping the operating room, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and passing instruments efficiently during procedures
• Deliver exemplary pre-operative and post-operative care, inclusive of administering medications, wound management, discharge planning, and patient education

Qualifications

• A Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Experience through clinical rotations with a focus on surgical care is highly desirable

Certifications

• Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant in New Jersey
