Job Description WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a local contract nursing job in Paramus, New Jersey. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join a high‑performing L&D team at a respected hospital in Paramus, NJ. The ideal clinician is confident in fetal monitoring, labor management, emergency response, and supporting providers throughout the childbirth process. Job Function: /n - Shift: 36 hrs/ 3x12 Nights. /n - Assess and categorize patients into the appropriate level of care /n - Apply and interpret external fetal monitoring, including fetal heart tracings and uterine activity /n - Implement timely interventions based on fetal heart rate patterns and maternal condition /n - Identify and respond to obstetric emergencies, escalating to providers appropriately /n - Administer medications safely in accordance with the Five Rights and infection‑control standards /n - Perform pain assessments and reassess per clinical guidelines /n - Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care /n /n Job Requirements: /n - Minimum 2 years L&D nursing experience /n - Strong experience with high-risk obstetric patients /n - Experience assisting in vaginal and cesarean deliveries required /n - BLS (AHA) /n - ACLS (AHA) /n - NRP /n - AWHONN Intermediate (or NCC C-EFM) /n /n Disclosure: The hourly rates and/or salaries listed may or may not reflect total compensation packages including bonus and fringe benefits, etc., nor are the advertisement(s) posted a guarantee of a certain compensation package for a position or bona fide offer of employment.
